Prerequisite: Physics 731 or an equivalent introductory course in Condensed Matter Physics; Physics 622–623 or an equivalent course in quantum mechanics is strongly recommended, as well as Physics 603 or an equivalent course in statistical mechanics. When possible, the course will try to complement Physics 625 and Physics 798C, without overlapping.
