*A note about the course textbook: The 5th Edition, the official course text, may be no longer be available in new condition. The 6th Edition, which the publisher is now offering new, has virtually the same text, perhaps displaced a page or two from the 5th Ed. (Click 5th/6thTableofContents to compare the two paginations), but its Conceptual Questions and Exercises may be modified and re-ordered as compared with the 5th Ed. We shall assign our HW problems from the 5th Ed and post their text and their solutions on this website. Click HOMEWORK to find those texts.
