From the front of the main terminal at BWI take Route 195 West, then take the exit onto Baltimore-Washington Parkway (South towards Washington). Get off at the Greenbelt Road exit towards College Park, and follow signs to the Univ. of Maryland. It'll bring you to Rt. 1, where you want to turn left (southbound) towards campus.
Upon exiting the airport to the North (towards Washington, D.C.), get onto the George Washington Memorial Highway. Within a mile, turn right onto U.S. Rt.1/I-395 North (to Washington). Stay in your left lane while crossing the bridge over the Potomac River. Follow U.S. Rt. 1 [through Washington, D.C. to College Park]. After crossing the Potomac River and passing the Washington Monument on your left, turn right (East) onto Constitution Avenue. Then, you will turn left (North) onto 6th Street N.W. Go about 1.5 miles and bear right onto Rhode Island Avenue (Rhode Island Avenue eventually becomes Baltimore Blvd.). Then go 7.5 miles to College Park.
Driving from Dulles Airport, take Dulles Access Highway (toll road) to I-495 (Beltway) North (sign might say to Baltimore) which circles around the Washington area passing the towns of Bethesda, Silver Spring, and as you approach I-95 which intersects with the I-495, follow the lanes for College Park, Route 1 (South).
