Officer Descriptions

President

The President is in charge of the Society of Physics Students. Thus, all decisions are subject to the President's approval. The President runs the meetings, setting the agenda and keeping order. Additionally, the President acts as the Society's liaison to the Physics Department. The President is limited to two consecutive terms in office.

Vice President

The Vice President acts as an assistant to the President, fulfilling those roles that the President is unable to meet.

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at all of the Society's meetings, uploading those minutes to the SPS website, and for general improvement and maintenance of the website.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for the group's finances. The Treasurer is responsible for depositing all income into the Society's bank account, and for preparing the money needed for the Society's various functions. The Treasurer should work with the Donut Czar to provide all financial services necessary for the doughnut sales.

Vendsman/Quartermaster

The Quartermaster is responsible for stocking the vending machine, and keeping the change machine stocked.

Librarian

In charge of the organization of the media stored on the bookshelves in the SPS Lounge. This positon is optional and often unnescessary.

Coffee Czar

The Coffee Czar's responsible for placing orders for coffee, pertaining to donuts.
