Officer Descriptions

President

The President is in charge of the Society of Physics Students. Thus, all decisions are subject to the President's approval. The President runs the meetings, setting the agenda and keeping order. Additionally, the President acts as the Society's liaison to the Physics Department. The President is limited to two consecutive terms in office. The President appoints the Donut Czar to run the doughnut sales.

Vice President

The Vice President acts as an assistant to the President, fulfilling those roles that the President is unable to meet. Additionally, the Vice President is in charge of public relations for the Society. Specifically, the Vice President is responsible for maintaining the website, creating and posting flyers, getting emails sent to the Physics community, and maintaining the Society's bulletin board. The Vice President is also in charge of the listserve. These tasks may be delegated as seen fit.

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at all of the Society's meetings, and for emailing those minutes to the Society's listserve in a timely manner.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for the group's finances. The Treasurer is responsible for depositing all income into the Society's bank account, and for preparing the money needed for the Society's various functions. The Treasurer should work with the Donut Czar to provide all financial services necessary for the doughnut sales.
