Minutes for October 28, 2004

The meeting started approximately at 5:00 pm EST. Strange isn't it, all the
other meetings started approximately at 5:05 pm. Oh well, life sucks anyways.

So, the first topic for discussion was the donuts, as John Milne, our dear
Donut Czar indicated that we were running low on napkins and coffee. It was
indicated that Puneet would have to pick up the aforementioned items from
Shoppers(TM/R) while picking up the regular donuts. Also, the free trade
coffee is also under serious consideration, as mentioned by Donut Czar.

Next item up for business. Sorry nothing really interesting happened between 
the change of topics, except for a few strippers who showed up and gave 
everyone a lap dance (j/k). Anyways, the next item for discussion was
the vending machine. Since the vending machine is not going to be coming any
time soon, the sodas and the food items will be stocked by Friday, hopefully.
If not, then oh well, too bad.

It was known recently that there is going to be a movie night possibly 
sometime in the next few weeks ahead. It would probably have to be on a 
Thursday, because the next few fridays seem to be busy for people, e.g., 
Physics is Phun, evening of Physics GREs, and Thanksgiving dinner. That's 
right, we'll be discussing that soon. As there were no objections to this
proposition, it was decided that the movie night would be held on about
the 11th of November, 2004, time still to be decided. The choice of movie is
also to be decided. 

The Thanksgiving dinner is planned to be held on November 19th, 2004. It was
decided that if people would like to prepare something for the feast, they
are welcome to make something. We still have to decide upon the food items
that people are going to be bringing. Kim, our beloved President, indicated
that the list of stuff to be prepared for the feast will be mailed to the
listserve.

The last item for business was the computers in the lounge. It was mentioned
that the a request was sent to fix the windows machine, yet there has been
no response. Kim mentioned that she could bring in a spare computer to the
lounge from her place and we can add stuff to it so that people can use it
at the physics lounge. The secretary, mentioned that he will bring in the 
discs for the linux machine, which he forgot to bring them in today ("D'oh"),
on Friday and fix up the machine if possible.

"The meeting is now adjourned," came a voice, and the meeting ended at 
precisely 5:15 pm EST.
