10/16/03 Alright Boys and Girls, Its that time again... Renn Fair: So apparently everyone was supposed to go to Renn Fair this past saturday. If you don't know what Renn Fair is, it doesn't matter because its over now. Even though this event has already happened, I am going to put it in the minutes anyway. There were only 2 drivers for 13 people. I hope that this was worked out. SPS was supposed to pay for gas, so if they haven't bug them until they do! You were meeting Saturday the 18th at 9:00 am in the Physics Lobby and leaving by 9:15. This only took a whopping 25 minutes to decide so it is going in the minutes regardless of whether it actually happened or not. Donuts: We need Earl Gray and Breakfast Tea. Bernie changed to order to get more cake donuts. We will be keeping the donuts at the amount of what we have but if we keep selling out by 10, then we will up the order. We also need penny rolls. The penny rolls that supposedly exist can not be found. Its the penny roll uncertainty principle. There is a $1000000 reward out on the penny rolls. If you find them, please tell Mark B. so he can sell you his soul since we can't afford the reward. PS - we also need sweet and low. Halloween Party: Supposedly there is a rumor that the Halloween party is this friday. Mark B. and I are SUPPOSED to be planning this. It will start at 7:00. Full scale hide and seek will ensue with the roof as part of the playing field. Beware though, the last time SPS members went to the roof bad things happened...The other games will include but not be limited to: bobbing for apples, assassins, pinatas (Kim will get it cheap as usual), throwing mysterious bikes off of the roof, candied apples, and a keg stand contest (Mark you did order the Keg right?). hehe. Well maybe not the Keg. Anyway, this is a costume party. Make sure you are there with bells on. Well, not just bells... Talks: Dr. Beise is into giving a talk sometime on the current topics in nuclear and particle physics. It will be an informal talk with lots of time for questions. We are shooting for the first week of November. Dr. Cohen will be giving a talk on bicycle safety. The guest of honor will be Ari. Make sure you bring your helmet to this lecture. There will be a demonstration on how to appropriately put on and wear you helmet. Dr. Brush will be giving a talk. If you haven't already, make sure you email andrew with your vote. At this point, the meeting was adjourned with Kim using Bernie as a gavel. Tip of the day: Bike riding can be dangerous and may you live long and prospire Thank you and have nice day, Kristin
