Minutes

5/1/2003 Minutes We discussed nominations for various offices, so far we have: WE REALLY NEED SOMEONE WHO IS WILLING TO BE DONUT CZAR!!! Otherwise: President - Mark Vice President - Kim Treasurer - Ari Secretary - Kristin Notice: I [Ryan] have decided not to run against Mark for President for a number of reasons that have been brought to my attention. Two of which include my own underestimation of Physics 405 and 411. However, I will still be a fully active member in the Fall. Thanks for your understanding. I will be making a final ballot on Monday, that you can fill out and put in the suggestion/ballot box (which will be locked) any time up to and including the talk on Thursday. We finalized the plans for the Rock Climbing trip, which went excellently!! Dr. Cole Miller will be giving a talk on Thursday, May 8 at 5 in the Toll Room on an unspecified (prob. black holes) astronomy topic. We also had a short talk by Dimitris Vassiliadis about space weather, and the class ASTR498W being held in the fall only. It was interesting, and sounds like it will involve a lot of plasma physics. Finally, the Pi Mu Epsilon Barbecue is this Monday at 12:30 in the grassy place between physics and math with the pretty trees... we couldn't agree on the name, but I still say it's called the courtyard.
