Minutes

27 February 2003

The movie night will be tomorrow night at 6:28 in 1410.  Rich will pick
up the movies (Blazing Saddles and Snatch) from Blockbuster.  Mark will
get a key and instruction on the projector from Clay, who will not be
able to make it.

Doughnuts:
	Bernie will try to convince Shoppers to pack the doughnuts in a more
convenient manner.
	John will cover pickup on Fridays.
	If there are any problems with doughnuts, send an email to Bernie.
	
Andrew Berkeley has agreed to do a talk on quantum computing sometime
after March.  Hassan may be scheduled for March 6th.  Z will talk to him
to see if he will be doing it.

The Astroterps will be taking a camping trip on the first weekend in May.
Some people expressed an interest in joining them, so we'll try to talk
to them.  They apparently don't have a location picked out yet; suggested
locales included Assateague Island and Deep Creek.

Maryland Day is Saturday, March 26.  Reka is already trying to draft
volunteers.  Sign up online if you can help out for a few hours.

If you feel someone should get the Dean's Award for teaching and/or 
advising, be sure to nominate them.

If you get a chance, please tidy up the lounge.  Make sure you don't 
leave papers sitting around.  Also, there is no sleeping on the couches.
Mark needs to get some signs put up to emphasize this fact.

It was suggested that perhaps we should put up photographs of everyone
on the website.  That idea was voted down, but it would probably be nice
to get pictures of the officers up.  As always, send any pictures you 
want posted to Robert.
