Festival Site
The scientific sessions of the Festival will be held at the Physics Building of the University of Maryland.
This building is named after John S. Toll who came to the the Univ. of Maryland in 1953 and constructed its Physics Department. Toll received his PhD degree from Princeton in 1952, and his advisor was John A. Wheeler.
Wheeler was kind enough to come to the Univ. of Maryland to participate in the ceremony dedicating the building to John S. Toll in May of 2001. Jordan Goodman, also in the following photo, was the Chairman of the Department, and was responsible for making these two gentlemen happy.
