The University of Maryland is located within the Greater Washington area, and the hotel prices reflect this metropolitan nature. The prices are quite consistent with the economic climate of this area, but could be somewhat unreasonable to physicists. Please continue reading this page for a solution to this problem.

George Washington used to travel along the road now called the US-1 or the Baltimore Boulevard. The US-1 cuts through the eastern section of the UM campus. There are many hotels along this historic highway.
