Get them to “think like a physicist”
- Many introductory physics service courses have as a stated goal to help their students learn to “think like a physicist”.
- We rarely discuss what this means and, although we may try to model the process in class, we almost never test for it.
- What do we mean by this phrase and how would we decide the extent to which we were meeting this goal?
