We are being asked to change the way we teach.

Instead of only training top research scientists (and trashing the rest) we are now being held responsible for adding value to all of our students (at least to those willing to give a serious effort).
We are asked to transform our approach from being a filter to a pump.
Changing the boundary conditions changes the solutions.
