Individual Demonstration Interviews (Fall ‘96)
Students (N=6) were given a loudspeaker and asked to imagine a dust particle sitting motionlessly in front of the speaker. Also, they were asked to consider a candle flame where the dust particle had been.
Question: Describe the motion of the dust particle (or candle flame) after the loudspeaker is turned on and plays a note at a constant pitch and volume. How would the motion change if the frequency or volume of the sound were changed?
