Uri Ganiel’s research
		One of the threads of Ganiel’s work that has had a strong impact on my thinking about teaching and learning is his work on the linking of student mental models, particularly the connection between macro and micro models. Finding ways to help students develop coherent physical (ontological) models is a major component of our recent projects at Maryland.
