·UM Physics alumna Aziza Baccouche debuted as the chief science contributed for "Evening Exchange" on Howard University Television (PBS Channel 32 in Washington) on Friday February 21 at 8 pm. Her science segments will air every third Friday and Sunday of every month.

 
· Professor S. James Gates appeared in the January 5, 2003 edition of 60 Minutes, which featured a segment on one fo the world's most widely recognized physicists, Stephen Hawking.Dr. Gates appeared in a scene from the 1991 "Millennium Lecture" at the White House.
 
· The Washingtonian featured Professor Robert Park as one of its "Contrarians" for debunking voodoo science.

· Professors Lathrop and Roy's work on measuring intense rotation and dissipation in turbulent flows was featured in the January issue of Nature and the March issue of Physics Today.
 
· Professor Victor Yakovenko's work in econophysics was discussed in Greg Price's "Lies and Statistics" column in the Austrailian Financial Reviewby Greg Price, published recently in the Australian Financial Review.
