· Congratulations Professor Hassan Jawahery! He has been selected to serve as associate editor of "Annual Review of Nuclear and Particle Science," the main review journal for invited articles on nuclear and particle physics. He will serve a five-year term, beginning January 2004.

 
· Congratulations to Professor Ho Jung Paik, who has been appointed as a Distinguished Visiting Scientist at Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL). Effective January, 2004, he will collaborate with JPL scientists on the LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) mission and the development of other relativity and gravity missions.
 

· Professor Lyle Roelofs, Maryland Physics alumnus (M.S., 1978, Ph.D., 1980) has been named Provost and Dean of Faculty at Colgate University. Professor Roelofs was the first advisee of Professor Theodore Einstein here in the Department of Physics. Congratulations Professor Roelofs!
