· Our dear friend Gene Barth passed away Thursday, July 3, 2003. Gene has been a valued member of the Department for 35 years, during most of which he supervised our print shop. The entire Department will miss him greatly and extends its heartfelt condolences to his many friends and family. |
| · Karl Harzer, who worked in the UM Physics Mechanical Development Group (machine shop) for many years, passed away Thursday July 10, 2003 at the age of 81. Karl worked for us from 1967 to 1990, when he retired. He then worked part time for the next five years. Karl was a huge man with incredible strength and a very kind heart. The Department extends sincere condolences to Karl's loved ones. |
