Use Tektronix Model 360 oscilloscope.

Amplitude Modulation (AM)

• Oscilloscope setup preset #4
• sine wave modulated by sine wave
• f_mod = 100 hz; amplitude small
• f_car = 2000 hz; amplitude large

Frequency Modulation (FM)

• Oscilloscope setup preset #5
• sine wave modulated by sawtooth wave
• f_mod = 1 hz; amplitude midrange
• f_car = 2000 hz; amplitude midrange
• NOTE: The image on the preceeding page shows a 2000 hz sine wave modulated by a 100 hz square wave.)

Double sideband Modulation (DSB) or Ring Modulation

• Oscilloscope setup preset #6
• sine wave modulated by sine wave
• f_mod = 100 hz; amplitude large
• f_car = 2000 hz; amplitude large
