PURPOSE: To demonstrate standing waves in a two-dimensional medium.
DESCRIPTION: A large rectangular form and a circular form are provided for producing soap films using a specially-formulated soap solution. Careful movement allows production of various standing waves, as seen in the photographs below.
SUGGESTIONS: This requires a good deal of practice and patience.
