PURPOSE: Demonstrate a real Foucault Pendulum

DESCRIPTION: This Foucault pendulum is a real version, with an electromagnetic energy supply to maintain the motion indefinitely, or until the 110VAC power goes off, whichever happens first. The base includes angle markings so that the precession of the pendulum can be accurately measured. It is in residence in the Physics Lecture Hall lobby.
