The answer is: copper, aluminum, and brass. The four photographs below were taken in order after "something happened."

After the burner was lit (upper left) the copper wax fell off (upper right), followed by the aluminum (lower left) and the brass (lower right). This means that the thermal conductivity of copper is the greatest, aluminum is next, and brass is the least.
