The answer is (b): the water in the pond will be lower, as seen by comparing the photographs below.

This problem is essentially the same as Question 17. When the boat is floating, it displaces its weight in water. After the boat has sunk, it displaces its volume in water, which is much less water, so the water level in the pond goes down.
