Stochastic Gravity and the Stability of Semiclassical Gravity

After briefly introducing the formalism of stochastic gravity, I will explain the equivalence between the stochastic correlation functions obtained in that context and the leading contribution to the quantum fluctuations in a large N expansion. I will then discuss how that can be applied to study the stability with respect to small quantum corrections of the solutions of semiclassical gravity. Finally, I will mention some of its possible relevant applications in cosmology and balck hole physics.
