Some aspects of neutron star microphysics
The focus will be on some aspects of neutron star
microphysics. Specifically, on (Glendenning's)
equation of state and the
calculation of hyperon bulk viscosity. Bulk
viscoty is a dissipation mechanism in neutron
stars which has implications on the
dampening of r-mode oscillations.
