PURPOSE: To illustrate bending of an electron beam in a magnetic field.

DESCRIPTION: An electron discharge starts at a wire at the top of the tube and trails down to a ring at the bottom. When a cylindrical bar magnet at the center of the tube is activated by a 5-volt power supply the discharge precesses around the magnet.
