Physics Education Research Project

A place for you and your classmates to gather together to study.

The Physics Education Research Group looks at how to improve the teaching of physics and student learning of physics.  One of our current projects focuses on the upper level physics courses taken by physics majors.

Students in upper level physics classes frequently find it helpful to work together outside of class. Often a significant amount of learning happens during these group sessions, and this learning process is what we hope to understand better through this research project.  We have space available for your group to use for your group study sessions.  All we ask is that you allow us to tape these sessions for our research.  Your instructor will not see the tapes, and will not be involved in the research project.
