How to start Maple

First, log into a unix machine that has a Maple installed. Alternatively you can use a Windows version in a PC. Or a Linux version... Doesn't matter. If you are using WAM or glue account, you can use Maple there.

If you are already logged in a unix machine, (1) type tap maple and ENTER. (2) If you want to use the graphic capability, type xmaple & and ENTER from an xterm session. You can also use the text version by typing maple and ENTER. I prefer the graphic version, of course. If you are lost, then use the help pages frequently.

Whenever appropriate, I will post some examples of Maple worksheets related to the class material and the homework.
