those interested in ROTC
The firm grounding in
basic sciences provides a solid foundation for understanding rapid
technological advances, while the applications to earth, atmospheric,
and celestial sciences that are likely to prove useful to students
pursuing careers in any of the armed forces.

Astronomy:
ASTR 310: Optical Astronomy Techniques
ASTR 410: Radio Astronomy Techniques
(Prerequisite: ASTR 200
or ASTR 120 &121)
NOTE: The
list of courses above includes less than the required number of
credits for a physical sciences program. Physical Sciences majors
must complete a minimum of 24 credits in their three distributive
areas of concentration with a minimum of 6 credits from each area.
In order to satisfy these requirements, students interested in developing
a program based on this sample would need to choose additional courses
from the three areas above.
