What major should you choose?
What career path should you follow? These are both important
questions. However, the questions are distinct: the answer to the
first doesn't necessarily restrict your options for the second, and
the answer to the second doesn't necessarily reveal a single answer
to the first. If you are like most students, your answers may change
over the next few years anyway. Even after you graduate, your career
path may take unexpected turns. Your undergraduate education
lays the foundation for your career, but it is only the beginning.
A degree in physics will provide you with the quantitative-reasoning
and problem-solving skills that will set a solid foundation for
any career path.
Follow your passion
Physicists make
important discoveries that often change
the way we live by examining the way things work. And there are
still many discoveries to be made. We think physics is an exciting
and rewarding field of study; it is our passion. We encourage
you to follow your passion.
