PHYS 170: Professional Physics Seminar (1) (Fall Only)
Co-requisite: MATH140. Recommended: High School Physics. Provides a look at some of the major developments of current interest in physics research and discusses the activities physicists undertake in research, education, industry, government, and other areas of the economy.

PHYS 499W: The Physicist at Work (1) (Spring Only)
Open to all students. A colloquium style class. Speakers discuss how their physics backgrounds prepared them for careers in industry and government.
