The Physics Olympics
at the University of Maryland
Professor John Layman, founder of the University of Maryland
Physics Olympics
The University of Maryland Physics Olympics, founded in 1979,
is held annually in the month of April at the University of Maryland Physics
Department. Teams from high schools in Maryland, Virginia, and
the District of Columbia compete in eight events to determine the
championship school.
The Spring 2009 University of Maryland Physics
Olympics will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009.
Application form may be
returned by e-mail or printed out and returned by
U.S. mail.
Judges
are asked to meet 30 minutes before the event start
time
to review judging procedures
Students
are asked to remind their teacher/judges to meet
30 minutes before the start time
